These positions also involve developing distributed services at hyper scale and the mindset that comes with developing these services. A lot of innovation is happening in security at extreme cloud scale. ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you can take charge and own all aspects of building and running highly available secure distributed services while providing mission critical functionality for Azure. You are working at the lowest layer of the Azure infrastructure. In our group, you and your work will be seen, appreciated, and rewarded.We know it's lonely at the top, so in addition to the excitement of working on new technologies, upward trajectory to your career, and compensation commensurate with your expertise and experience, we provide a close team-oriented environment with knowledgeable members who collaborate and engage in rapid experimentation and turnaround. In our group we ask questions and generate answers. Some of the questions we ask are "How do you develop services that compensate for 5% of the hardware being defect without generating a support call?" and "How do we protect against widespread outage while rolling out a service that has a bug that was not discovered in testing?" We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can design and implement security services for entire Azure infrastructure. This role requires a technically proficient, security minded engineer who wants to have broad impact across Azure and industry. Your primary responsibilities include architecting, designing, coding and operationalizing security services at massive scale that will help ensure Azure is the most secure cloud operating system in the world!
