As an operational project manager within the Lunar Operations Program Management (OPM) team, you will report to the Mark 2 Crew Lander OPM Sr. Manager and will be the focal point for operations managing a subset of the total Blue Moon MK2 Crew Lunar Lander subsystems. You will engage with and be the focal point the Lunar IPT subsystem leads to plan and execute operations support for engineering design and hardware development. You will support the integrated product team portions of the integrated master schedule and be accountable for planning these into the Mark 2 tactical operations schedule. You will use your technical background to understand and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders (Lunar Program, OPM and PPC) to guide priorities that support the program and operational needs. Additionally, you will work with the operations support organizations to forecast, plan, prioritize work specifically for the Lunar business unit IPTs you support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and work closely with IPT leads, Operations Program Mangers, and manufacturing engineering to plan and meet development, operations and test milestones for MK2 Lunar Vehicles.
  • Forecast, establish, and maintain operations schedules, manpower and budgetary needs through coordination with production control.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to define and prioritize efforts leading to and supporting operations.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontracts as required.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery of hardware and production equipment. Contribute to the annual and multi-year planning efforts for the overall group.
  • Support upward reporting cadence and metrics as required.
  • Capture and report metrics to the Lunar Permanence business unit.
  • Manage key program metrics (and associated reporting tools) in areas such as: Budget, engineering schedules, equipment schedules, procurement schedules, production schedules, program management status reports, and resource plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or similar) from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • 6+ years' experience in the aerospace industry with engagement in program/project management and business management in a development and/or production environment.
  • Experience with planning complex aerospace integrated assemblies.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Aptitude for hands-on problem solving, with a passion for space systems.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Experience with Primavera, MS Project or Similar.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or project management from an accredited college or university.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • 9+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $115,920-$162,288
