Job Description:

The Manufacturing Manager has oversight responsibility for any of the manufacturing operations in Allergenic manufacturing departments. The Primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Manager will be to manage the personnel and processes involved in the production of liquid and lyophilized Allergenic manufacturing operations.

Essential responsibilities include:

  1. Manage all personnel and manufacturing activities occurring on all shifts.
  2. Complete annual expense and capital budgets.
  3. Maintain knowledge of state of the art parenteral manufacturing concepts, practices, and processes, including cGMP's, and Aseptic Processing Guidelines.
  4. Ensure that all production schedules are met. Communicate and coordinate priorities with Production Planning.
  5. Review and challenge existing methods of production in order to increase efficiencies and improve quality.
  6. Ensure that documented training, attendance, and performance records are maintained.
  7. Conduct performance reviews and set objectives for manufacturing supervisors. Review and approve performance reviews and objectives for hourly technicians.
  8. Interview and hire employees. Ensure documented training of all employees.
  9. Coordinate with the Maintenance department regarding repairs/preventative maintenance of machinery as required.
  10. Order and/or approve purchase requests for production supplies and non-capital operating equipment.
  11. Ensure that all production activities are accurately described in written procedures, and that these procedures meet with cGMP requirements.

Qualifications:

  • BS in hard sciences.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 year(s) experience in lieu of degree in hard sciences
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 year(s) experience in lieu of degree.
  • Managerial experience required
  • Pharmaceutical and FDA Regulated Industry experience strongly desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience desired.
  • ERP operating systems/concept understanding.
  • Managing conflict and influencing outcomes.

Shift: Days

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80,500 - $126,000 depending on experience.
