An Accounting Manager job in Woodinville, WA is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). This is a key leadership position with the Ste. Michelle accounting team responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager leads a team of three staff and ensures that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including maintaining accounting policies and procedures, maintaining the chart of accounts, performing and overseeing financial reporting controls, directing and monitoring the month-end closing activities, preparing financial reports and analysis, and supporting the annual audit.

Accounting Manager job responsibilities include:

  • Manage the month-end close and prepare financial reporting meeting all deadlines and ensuring that reported results are accurate in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Perform and ensure effective financial reporting controls to include timely and complete balance sheet reconciliations and review of accounting entries to proactively address errors and risks.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting and settlement processes between multiple reporting entities and joint venture entities.
  • Implement process improvements and create efficiencies in the current accounting processes collaborating cross-functionally on problem solving and projects.
  • Assist external auditors with annual audit of the financial statements and accounting records.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach accounting staff to ensure team performance meets service level targets and development goals.
  • Provide accounting reporting support for special projects and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
  • CPA preferred; Public Accounting experience preferred
  • 6-10 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of working in ERP systems, JDE E1 experience preferred

Your Compensation:

$92,552-120,296/yr. based upon relevant experience.
