Production Supervisors are required to successfully complete 3-6 months of technical training provided by Silgan Containers. This will include writing reports, and discussions with plant management to understand can/end manufacturing processes and equipment.

What you'll do:
Train personnel, apply written safety procedures, observe work areas for safety improvements, and learn investigative processes.
Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools.
Train procedures, manage equipment, and maximize production throughout.
Learn factory organizations, enforce SOP's, and review standard reporting.
Develop and mentor employees and direct and assign work.
Administer Labor contracts in union plants.
Personal inspection of workforce, material usage, and production.
Analyze reports.
We need you to have:
High school diploma or GED, Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of relevant work experience
1+ year of supervisory experience
Solid technical and mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication, including both written and oral
Statistical and computer knowledge
Problem-solving and visual mechanic skills (blueprints and descriptions)
