Key Responsibilities

  • Provide management with accurate information in the areas of production costs, budgets, forecasting, materials and labor. Offer recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of financials.
  • Prepares Daily, Weekly and Monthly plant and department Key Performance Indicator reporting.
  • Establish and implement cycle counts and investigating variances that arise.
  • Oversee annual inventory count.
  • Review standard and actual costs and report variances to management for decision making purposes.
  • Provides financial data assistance to the plant operations team to support and influence continuous improvement activities.
  • Review shop order reporting, analyze and report variances to standard.
  • Development, review and design of policies, procedures and programs that enhance the integrity of the accounting system and safeguarding of physical assets.
  • Maintain standard manufacturing data including run rates and crewing.
  • Monitor and assess Nature's Path internal controls.
  • Prepare the overhead annual budget.
  • Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, IT third party, receiving, shipping, and other as needed.
  • Work with Payroll & Benefit US to verify headcount and ensure proper coding of employees in payroll systems.
  • Work with Plant management teams on monthly reviews of shop order variances, monthly financials, and plant expenses.
  • Work with management and head office on plant budgets and new product costing.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a related role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Standard Costing
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
  • Senior to advanced skill level working with Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated ability working with the remaining Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI and Word)
  • Strong communicator - ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves.
  • Strong ability to work within a team as well as an ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong work ethic, organized, strict attention to detail and ability to simultaneously address multiple issues and achieve desired results.

Education

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting or financial management. Although not required, an accounting designation would be an asset.

This salary is in the range of $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience. We have incredible benefits and offer a bonus as well. Please apply to this role by April 15th 2024.
