TITLE: Technical Process Engineer

LOCATION: Bellevue, WA, USA

The Technical Process Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Processes and Procedures and is a position focused on developing, updating, and implementing processes and procedures for TerraPower. In this role, you will support and direct scoping, creating, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Documents in support of TerraPower's advanced nuclear reactor projects and other highly technical projects. The Technical Process Engineer will work as part of a high-performing team of engineers and scientists focused on developing systems of next generation reactors and other highly technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating with geographically diverse team members to develop supporting processes. The team members may include TerraPower employees, subcontracted resources/suppliers, and customers.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of corporate procedures, forms, tools, etc.
  • Support the definition of software tool requirements and down-selection.
  • Support QA audits of TerraPower and/or its subcontractors.
  • Identify, advocate, and resolve deficiencies in process or tool implementation, including issues in base process as well as issues in user implementation.
  • Provide training to technical staff on implementation of processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Coordinate assignment, response, and implementation of changes, updates, and other actions from Corrective Action program.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • B.S. or higher from an accredited university and 5+ years direct experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing processes and procedures in nuclear industry preferred.
  • Experience and hands-on application in complex process environments.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to coordinate and lead a design team's effort with minimal direction.
  • Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, able to communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

Job Details

Salary Range 10: $109,446 - $164,170

Salary Range 11: $120,672 - $201,119

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 - 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
