Summary:

The Supervisor, Systems Manufacturing position is responsible for overseeing the staff and providing support for all processes used in the manufacturing of ultrasound systems. Work with Engineering staff and Value Stream Manager to provide unique solutions to process issues. Perform failure analysis on parts to determine root cause and corrective action. Document all work done and report findings to technical staff.

Essential Job Functions:

    Communicate organizational needs and oversee staff performance to provide guidance and support for individual development needs
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Provide support to manufacturing and engineering for debugging process issues.
  • Oversee the troubleshooting and perform failure analysis on failed parts before reporting the findings to the manufacturing leadership team.
  • Review frequent failures modes and recommend corrective actions to the manufacturing team.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Provides input on and review of assembly instructions to ensure the documents are easy to follow and use by operation staff.
  • Audit manufacturing processes to ensure conformity to documented requirements.
  • Provide input on training requirements of production personnel.
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a world class manufacturing environment.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Support and manage internal audits, and external audits.
  • Develop and deliver routine and ad hoc metric reporting and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Head and Manufacturing Engineers.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum 2-year course work towards a technical degree. A Bachelor's or Associate degree is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience; 5 years of experience in a production environment
  • Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in material control, production control and quality control processes
  • Experience working in the medical device industry (ISO, GMP, FDA, QSR, etc).
  • Experience creating, coordinating and implementing engineering change orders.
  • Experience in root cause analysis of assemblies and component failure analysis.
  • Working knowledge and application of modern production and material methodologies such as JIT, TQM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing etc. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
  • Experience with Agile configuration product management software - preferred
  • Experience with Oracle and DataSweep or other electronic device history record system - preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing and/or laboratory environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Good aptitude for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Must be able to carry 20-50lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Must be able to stand for periods of time throughout the day.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $30.00/hr. - $40.00/hr. depending on experience
