We have an immediate opening for an Manufacturing Supervisor at our Exotic Metals Forming Division!

Exotic Metals Forming Company is looking for an innovative Manufacturing Supervisor with solid people skills and leadership development experience to join our growing team.  The Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates and controls production activities to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules. Closely monitors day-to-day specific line production. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Looks ahead and foresees production issues; raises awareness and takes action as necessary.
  • Develops staff skills and visual cues to enable employees optimize part flow and production output within established scheduling system.
  • Active participant in new product development.
  • Fully proficient in use of Exotic's scheduling and MRB system.
  • Drives measurable cost reduction through improved processes and training.
  • Conduct improvement events in department, resulting in measurable improvements in unit time and part flow.
  • Uses NC''s/TIPQA to understand the key drivers to part quality. Drives improvements that continually increase first pass yield.
  • Develop and maintain training/skill set matrix and improvement plan.
  • Creates excellent process discipline in staff utilizing Exotic's EDGE and other resources.
  • Coach and mentor employees, PTF''s, and CTF''s with positive results.
  • Conduct effective daily crew meetings.
  • Suggest and drive company policy; implement once adopted by the company.
  • Seeks out ways to improve safety and ergonomics of department.
  • Perform weekend OT coverage on a rotating schedule.
  • Mentor/train others in administrative tasks. Tasks are performed timely and accurately.
  • Create and foster open communication to encourage new ideas and innovation.
  • Exemplifies Exotic's BEST principles and draws the same from his/her staff.
  • Proposes solutions.
  • Timely and quality parts result from process disciplines instilled in the department.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Prefer a 4-year manufacturing or engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years leadership (formal or informal) in a manufacturing environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Displays sound judgment.
  • Understand importance of process discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and self motivation with an action-oriented bias.
  • Effective communication and teambuilding skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and responsibility as well as a commitment to company values and the organization.
