Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SPCH 219 - Speech at our Seattle, WA Campus.

Course Description:

This course is a continuation of the study of communication and communication theory, with an emphasis on overcoming communication apprehension, developing listening skills, mastering oral performance, and writing about communication. Individual sections may focus on public speaking, group discussion, oral interpretation, or interpersonal communication.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including duringtraining.Presently,we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states exceptCalifornia.ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Required degree:

A minimum of a Master's degree within the teaching discipline (required degree specialties listed below):

• Speech

• Communication Studies

Required professional experience:

Professional experience relating to course content which demonstrates competence, effectiveness, and capacity. The following indicates relevant types of experience or activities:

• Professional Certification

• Professional Training or Experience

• Active membership in relevant professional organizations

• Significant levels of experience and responsibility in industry or government using practices and principles of the teaching disciplines listed above

• Significant levels of experience and responsibility for a teaching discipline program in industry or government
